Welcome to Crawley Down Village Website
The Crawley Down Village website came into being just 10 minutes into 01 January 2006 and is now well into its 4th year of operations. The website is a community project run by the Crawley Down Village Website Association. The site provides a wealth of information about the village and its surrounding areas. So, if you want to know about the local schools, transportation, amenities, sports facilities, churches and much more, you will find all you need here. The site has an extensive photo gallery which is updated frequently and sub-domains for the Parish Church of All Saints' and also the Residents Association.
Crawley Down, together with Copthorne Village is in Worth Parish Council and is situated in Mid-Sussex close to the borders of West and East Sussex, Surrey and Kent. The village is close to the M23 and about a ten minute drive from Gatwick airport.
The site is financially supported by a number of local businesses and individuals. The Association is pledged to then make annual grants to groups based in Crawley Down. To date £2,750 has been donated. Click on "Local Businesses" from the menu or click on any of the thumbnail images at the bottom of this page to access our sponsors own pages on this site
We have amended the front page of the website to show the next 2 weeks entries from the diary. To view the rest of the diary select the "Village Diary" menu option.
A Special appeal. The EU has decreed that the Crawley Down Christmas lights have to be replaced by 2012 with more expensive energy saving bulbs. Les Archer is endeavouring to raise the necessary funds to replace all, nearly 1000, lights. He will be selling raffle tickets in the village centre on Saturday 20th June.
